The 25^th day of December, 2021, the Universal Church, and humanity as a whole, celebrate Christmas, the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In the Entrance Antiphon we pray: “A child is born for us, a son given to us; dominion is laid on his shoulders, and he shall be called Wonderful Counselor. Amen.”

The Universal Church invites us to celebrate Sunday, December 12, 2021, as the third Sunday of Advent in the liturgical year C. It is also called “Gaudete” Sunday, a Sunday of rejoicing. As we hear in the entrance antiphon: “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice! The Lord is near. Amen”.
