The Universal Church celebrates Sunday, February 02, 2020, as the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord Jesus in the Temple.  In the Holy Rosary, the Presentation of the Lord is the fourth Joyful Mystery.  In the entrance antiphon we pray: “Your merciful love, O God, we have received in the midst of your temple. Your praise, God, like your name, reaches the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with saving justice. Amen.”

Catholic Meditation - The Feast of the Epiphany

 The Universal Church celebrates Sunday, January 05, 2020, as the feast of the Epiphany, which commemorates the call of the nations to salvation. It is the manifestation of Jesus as Messiah of Israel, Son of God and Saviour of the world. It celebrates the first two occasions on which Jesus’ divinity is manifested to the world: the visit of the three kings from the East, the Magi, and Jesus’ baptism by John the Baptist in the Jordan River. The Epiphany is one of the oldest Christian feasts, celebrated since the end of the second century, before the Christmas holiday was established.
